The junior high at Children of Peace School will be utilizing the Google Classroom format as the platform for keeping track of and submitting assignments as well as Zoom as the method for daily communication with the remote learners. We are also strongly suggesting that families have access to PowerSchool as an additional way of monitoring the progress of your student(s). Flexibility will be key to ensure everyone's success, so check the classroom and school websites often as a good way of staying in the loop as we adjust to the new expectations of this unique school year.
In addition, the junior high students are required to have a silent reading book with them EVERYDAY. Students in grades 6-8 should be reading AT LEAST 30 minutes independently EVERYDAY. I have 100s of books available in my room for the students to borrow, in addition to possibly taking a trip to the library, bookstore, or Amazon.com.
